Cassi Bleitz was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Greenville, SC. They are visual arts alumni of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, and they are now pursuing a BFA at Winthrop University. Cassi is a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in theatrical design. Their work focuses on disassembling restrictive societal binaries through a documentary lens, relying on research and social study to feed their video, photography, printmaking, and installation work.
